The 3rd Annual Pedal for Protein bicycle event raised $40,356, and traversed from the ocean to the orchards riding five days from Mendocino through Ukiah, Middletown and Davis finishing in Rockville. Seventeen cyclists rode the 270 mile route with 22 cyclists joining in for one or more days along the way. More than a charity bike ride, P4P is about stretching ourselves past comfort zones, wonderful comradery and pedaling for the hungry in Northern California and beyond.

2016 – Mendocino / Rockville – 268 miles, 5 days
The tour starts in the scenic town of Mendocino along the beautiful northern California coast and soon turns southeast across the coastal range to the Russian River Valley. The route continues through the southwestern edge of Lake County, into Napa County and around the southern edge of Lake Berryessa into the Central Valley at Winters. From Winters the trip continues east to Davis for a visit to the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame and then back to Rockville for a final day loop ride across the Carquinez Strait.
- Day 1 – Mendocino to Ukiah (45.7 miles, 5,833' of climb)From Mendocino, south on CA-1 and then southeast on Compche-Ukiah Rd and Orr Springs Road to Ukiah.
- Day 2 – Ukiah to Middletown (61.4 miles, 5,118' of climb)From Ukiah, south on Old River Road (East Side Road) to CA-175. Follow CA-175 east to Kelseyville and then Bottle Rock Road and CA-175 south to Middletown.
- Day 3 – Middletown to Winters (58.1 miles, 3,084' of climb)From Middletown, south on Butts Canyon Road, Pope Valley Road, Chiles Pope Valley Road and Lower Chiles Valley Road to CA-128. Follow CA-128 east to Winters.
- Day 4 – Winters to Rockville (54.4 miles, 494' of climb) From Winters, east on Russell Blvd and Covell Blvd to Davis. After a visit to the United States Bicycle Hall of Fame, south and southwest on country roads to Rockville.
- Day 5a – Rockville Two Bridges Loop (48.4 miles, 2,442' of climb) From Rockville, southwest to American Canyon and south to Vallejo and Crockett, east to Martinez and then back north to Rockville.
- Day 5b – Rockville Four Valley Roads Loop (35.3 miles, 1,468' of climb) From Rockville, follow a loop on Suisun Valley, Wooden Valley and Gordon Valley and Green Valley Roads.
